Our Story
After spending 21 years with Mobil Oil Corporation advancing to an executive position, Sam Newton started TheNewtonGroup, Corp. in 2001. The company was born out of a calling to serve individuals and organizations. With a B.S. in Engineering and an MBA in Finance, Sam has always understood that organizational culture plays such a critical role in organizational success and that even with the best products and services in the world, a company cannot be successful if the best people are not developing, delivering and servicing those products. Thus, Sam Newton started TheNewtonGroup Corp. to develop people - to build outstanding leaders - to help organizations build a culture of commitment.

Meet Sam Newton, Principle Consultant, TheNewtonGroup
Sam Newton, a native of Corpus Christi, Texas, graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering in 1980 from Texas A&M Kingsville. Recently, Sam completed his Masters in Business Administration in Finance, from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio.
Sam has 32 years of experience in numerous phases in the oil and gas industry as well as other industries. He has held numerous staff and leadership positions in engineering, operations, environmental/health/safety, and special projects. Over the years, Sam has developed excellent skills in management, leadership, planning, project management, teambuilding, organizational development, team facilitation, competency based recruiting, relationship development and public/motivational speaking.
As the principle consultant for TheNewtonGroup, Sam currently works with numerous senior business executives and their organizations to assist them in their strategy development, planning, organizational development, project management and leadership development. He currently serves on two boards of directors offering his many years of business experience.
As a professional public speaker, Sam draws on his many years of business experience, family life and studies to provide a blend of humorous and serious anecdotes to educate and motivate listeners.
